Ritchie Smith established his office in 1983 with a commitment to improving the design quality of the built environment and celebrating the region's sense of place. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a renowned regional practice providing services in landscape architecture, urban design and planning. In his over twenty-five years with the firm, he has directed implementation of numerous award-winning landscape design and master plan projects. He contributes to the local community through a variety of professional and volunteer activities, holding board positions with organizations such as the Memphis Regional Design Center. Ritchie earned his BSLA at the University of Virginia and his Master in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He holds a CLARB certificate and is licensed to practice in eight states including Tennessee.
