Collierville, Tennessee
A master plan was prepared for a 60-mile, linear open-space network to provide for recreational activities, scenic quality, and environmental protection in the fastest growing community in Tennessee. The process included extensive field inventory of potential routes proposed by a citizen task force, and evaluation of different types of trail uses and opportunities for interpretation. The final report included design guidelines with illustrative graphics and cost estimates to assist town planning staff, citizens, and developers involved in implementation. A detailed map was designed to show proposed greenbelt routes, with a legend keyed to points of interest, including natural areas, historic resources and recreation sites.
