Looja joined Ritchie Smith Associates after earning a Master in Landscape Architecture from Auburn University where she also was a graduate research assistant. Prior to earning her graduate degree, she was an architect with a consulting engineering firm preparing landscape analysis and design plans for large water resource and infrastructure projects and developing an interest in land use issues. At RSA, she contributes planning insights as well computer skills acquired working on projects across a range of scales. Looja also holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Architecture. Her commitment to the larger community is evidenced by the many years she volunteered her talents to prepare site plans and prototype designs for shelter housing in several cities in Nepal.
