Ritchie Smith Associates designed the landscape plan for a condominium development at the center of Harbor Town, an acclaimed planned community on the Mississippi River. The site includes two three-story residential buildings with first-floor retail, and six duplex homes adjacent to the harbor marina. The design of the landscape facing Harbor Town's commercial center has a formal urban aesthetic. Along the water's edge, the planting reflects a more casual tone consistent with units designed in a vernacular style of weekend cottages. Services included design of plazas to clarify building entrances and plans for streetscape to coordinate with the existing neighborhood character.
